How to troubleshoot Facebook Log-In issues on iPhone

Coffee Meets Bagel uses your Facebook account to login. In some rare cases, you may have trouble signing in with Facebook. This can happen due to password or email address changes, or general network issues that Facebook is encountering. We laid out a few steps to help you troubleshoot this issue.
#1.
Before you start, please always make sure you have you have the latest app downloaded from iTunes: http://bit.ly/12tLgvl You can delete and re-download if you aren’t sure.
1) Log out of of Coffee Meets Bagel App
Menu–>Setting–>Log out
2) Make sure CMB is not running in the background (double click your home button, and make sure your app is completely closed).
3) Go to your iPhone’s Setting and find Facebook. Click on it.

4) Delete (don’t worry, you can always re-login)

5) If it asks if you would like Facebook info Merged or Removed, click “Remove”. (This does NOT delete your facebook account. You are just not logging into it automatically from your phone). It is IMPORTANT that you take this step.
6) If you have a separate Facebook App, open it and go to setting to LOG OUT.
7) Open Coffee Meets Bagel app. If you have your Facebook app downloaded, it should open that and prompt you to login through the app. If you do not have FB app downloaded, it will open up Facebook on your mobile browser. Log in. See if that works!
#2. If #1 steps did not help you….
1) Log out of of Coffee Meets Bagel App
Menu–>Setting–>Log out
2) Make sure CMB is not running in the background (double click your home button, and make sure your app is completely closed).
3) Go to Settings on your iPhone
4) Click on FACEBOOK. You should see “Coffee Meets Bagel” as one of the apps under “Allow these apps to use your account” Please make sure this is on (in green).

#3. If #2 did not help you…
1) Log out of of Coffee Meets Bagel App
Menu–>Setting–>Log out
2) Make sure CMB is not running in the background (double click your home button, and make sure your app is completely closed).
3) Go into the Facebook app or site > Settings > Apps > Platform > Switch to On.
4) Try our app
 
If after all the attempts, you are still having problems, then please email us at [email protected] with the following information.
 

  1. Your email address used to sign up with Coffee Meets Bagel
  2. Your iPhone device type: e.g. Iphone 4, 4S, 5, 6, 6 plus
  3. Please include in the body “Tried all 3 different ways to troubleshoot Facebook login error and still having problems”
