NYC Date: Starry, Starry Night
We have a simple, yet romantic date idea: chatting the night away under the stars. Members of the Amateur Astronomers Association of New York will host a free star-spotting event, pointing out celestial bodies above the High Line. On this day, the planet Venus will pass in front of the Sun, which is an event that won’t happen again for another 105 years.
WHAT: Transit of Venus Premier Viewing Event (Stargazing on the High Line)
WHERE: The High Line @ Washington St., Meatpacking District
WHEN: June 5 (Tue), 2012 @ 7:30 pm
